As Silence Breaks BIOGRAPHY - JUNE 2012

As Silence Breaks are a Metal band from Sydney, Australia. With 6 years experience touring both Nationally and Internationally, as well as sharing the stage with some of the worlds finest acts, the band have proven to be an unstoppable force in the Heavy music scene. 

As Silence Breaks sound is a solid mix of Heavy Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Thrash Metal and Metalcore. The band offer an explosive live performance every time, filled with energy and a commanding presence. Having signed with Independent Australian Label, New Justice Records, 2 years ago, the band have already put out two successful releases and recorded two video clips for tracks "Shores of Acheron" and "Freedom."

The band has a host of impressive accolades to their name, including being honoured with an International Top 40 award from the International Association for Independent Recording Artists. They have shared the stage with such big names as Darkest Hour, Carnifex, Periphery, TesseracT, Whitechapel, For The Fallen Dreams and were voted by their fans to play the Taste of Chaos stage two years running in Sydney, Australia alongside Killswitch Engage, The Used, Thursday, Story of The Year and many more.

In November 2011, the band self funded recording their brand new album, "The Architecture of Truth," with renowned Engineer, Daniel Castleman (As I Lay Dying, Carnifex, Winds Of Plague, Sworn Enemy) at Lambesis Studio's, Escondido, CA, owned by As I Lay Dying frontman, Tim Lambesis. The album was then sent over to West West Side Music in New York to be mastered by Alan Douches (Cannibal Corpse, Unearth, Deicide, The Black Dahlia Murder).

After finishing the record, the band spent December, 2011, touring across California, Nevada and Idaho, USA, battling everything from food poisoning to snow and everything in between. This trip proved once more that the band have unstoppable passion and drive and there is nothing that will stand in their way. 

2012 see's the band hitting the ground running supporting Sybreed in March and Arch Enemy in April, with many other tour's booked for this year, both nationally and abroad.

As Silence Breaks are back with a newly refined sound. Their sophomore release, entitled "The Architecture of Truth," is a no nonsense mix of twelve Melodic Death Metal tracks. The album was recorded at As I Lay Dying frontman, Tim Lambesis' studio in Escondido, CA, with Daniel Castleman (As I Lay Dying, Carnifex, Winds Of Plague, Sworn Enemy). The album was then sent over to West West Side Music in New York to be mastered by Alan Douches (Cannibal Corpse, Unearth, Deicide, The Black Dahlia Murder).
Pushing further into the realm of Heavy Metal whilst providing a varied offering, "The Architecture of Truth" offers up crushing riffs intertwined with hooks, grooves and melody and is a must for all fans of At The Gates, As I Lay Dying, Soilwork, In Flames, Unearth.
