About me

Formed back in 2009 from Spyros Lafias (Vocals,Guitar), Chronosphere is a new wave of thrash-death metal band based in Athens,Greece. It started as an old school thrash metal band but since then it has developed its own style. After several changes in the line-up ,the band now consists of Spyros Lafias (Vocals,Guitar) , Vangel Nan (Bass,Backing vocals) , Thanos Krommidas (Drums) , Panos Tsampras (Guitar,Backing vocals).

As of 2010 the band is a member of the Manifesto Music Movement. During the same year, the first demo (under the name Homo Sapiens) was recorded at MIH studios (Made In Hell). It is named after the song ”Hypnosis” and includes 4 other songs. It soon gained attention from the media in Europe (fanzines,web-zines) and received pretty good reviews,especially for the first effort of the band. Worth to mention that all the copies of the demo disappeared within a few weeks !! The period after the recording, promotion of the demo took place while performing many live shows supporting also some of the biggest bands in Greece.

Next months found the band composing new material for the first full-length album. Consequently, it entered the studio in April of 2011 and recordings were done within 3 months. The album is called “Envirusment” and consists of 8 songs + 2 bonus tracks from the first demo.

At this time, Homo Sapiens is searching for a label being also ready to tour anywhere (depending on the deal) to promote its debut album and gain attention worldwide !!
